Ed Sheeran Live

When one man and a guitar can command a stadium of 80,000, you know you are witnessing something special. Ed Sheeran's return to Jakarta was nothing short of magical.

The Atmosphere

The Jakarta International Stadium was buzzing with anticipation hours before the show. The 360-degree rotating stage in the center ensured everyone had a great view. The massive halo screen suspended above provided stunning visuals throughout the night.

The Performance

Opening with "Tides," Ed immediately showcased the power of his loop station. This is where he builds songs layer by layer, live in front of the audience. There is no backing track, no band—just him.

Hits like "Shape of You" and "Thinking Out Loud" had the entire stadium singing in unison, creating a choir of thousands. But it was the quieter moments, like "The A Team," where his storytelling truly shined, turning a massive venue into an intimate gathering.

Highlights

  • The incredible loop pedal skills during "Shivers".
  • The violin accompaniment during "Galway Girl" (a rare guest appearance!).
  • The emotionally charged encore of "Bad Habits".

Verdict

Ed Sheeran proved once again why he is one of the world's biggest stars. His ability to connect with the audience, combined with his raw musical talent, makes for an unforgettable experience. 5/5 stars.

"A masterclass in live performance. Simplicity and talent at its finest."
